How can I deploy RT for free?

RT is, and forever will be, freely available to download and deploy. If you are comfortable maintaining RT on-premise, you can grab the most stable release here.

Can I move to Hosted RT from my on-premise instance?

Absolutely, and we're here to help! Ifyou are interested in moving your locally deployed RT instance to a managed installation, we've got you covered.

Is RT available on AWS?

We have an AWS Image available if you are looking to deploy in the cloud.

Do you provide any discounts?

We are happy to offer a 20% discount to acedemic institutions and a 10% discount to non-profit organizations.

What if I go over the ticket allotment on a managed hosting plan?

No worries! We can be flexible if you exceed the ticket volume occasionally, or have a spike in volume for a short period of time. If you are seeing a continued increase in your volume, we can work with you to adjust you plan, or come up with something custom to better meet your needs.

What payment options do you accept?

What's the difference between Managed Hosting and On-Premise Deployment?

With Managed Hosting for RT, we host and setup your RT instance for you. This is generally the best option for teams who want to get started quickly and easily, and for teams who don't want to manage the technical complexity of hosting themselves.

With an On-Premise Deployment of RT, you host RT on your own servers and you're able to customize your setup however you'd like. This is generally the best option for teams who want to manage all the details of the setup and don't mind the additional complexity of hosting themselves.

Who owns my data?

You do! Also, the source code and API are completely open so you are free to customize RT and integrate with other systems and tools.

Is my data safe?

Very safe! Our servers are located in world-class data centers, RT is always up-to-date with the latest security patches, and all RT Hosted tiers include SSL encryption to keep your data safe.

Can I get access to the source code for customization?

Yes, the source code and API is open and accessible to customize RT and integrate with other systems and tools as you see fit.

Do you auto-upgrade RT on the server to the newest release?

By default, we do not auto-upgrade your RT when new releases come out. When a new release contains documented security vulnerabilities, we create patches for all supported RT versions, so your RT will automatically receive security updates while staying on your current version.

Each customer has access to their own instance of RT, and can therefore add custom code, potentially make local modifications, and rely on integrations with other services. We don't take any chances with your stable, running system, so we don't push any upgrades without your input. Instead, we notify you of the newest release, and when you're ready, we work with you to create a path to update to the newest release of RT in a safe and stable way.

How many users are included in each tier of Hosted RT?
